Civil Engineering
The Diploma in Civil Engineering at Jawaharlal Institute of Technology (JIT), Borawan, focuses on the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil Engineering, one of the oldest and most vital engineering disciplines, has evolved to include several specialized fields such as environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and construction management.
The Civil Engineering Department at JIT Borawan was established in 2014. Over the past 14 years, the department has built a strong reputation for excellence. Nearly 600 Diploma graduates from this department are actively serving in the civil engineering profession both across India and internationally.
The department also provides consultancy and testing services to industry partners on various state and national projects. With a highly qualified and experienced faculty team, students receive top-quality education and mentorship. Our department is equipped with modern laboratories, advanced audio-visual teaching aids, and a dedicated Computer-Aided Structural Design and Drawing Lab, where students get hands-on experience with the latest civil engineering software.
